Finally, the 6th Harry Potter book is here. :) I'm half way through it, even if it's more than 24 hours since I bought it. It's good, I want to read it in a slow pace, a few chapters at the time, even if it really is a page turner!
Like the previous book, you really need to remember what has already happened. Rawlings assumes you're up to date on all the events from the last book. As it's 2 or 3 years or something since I read that one (when it came out, I haven't reread it.), and even longer since the other four, I realised I had to go back to book 5 and read the last 3 chapters. I think that really good in an author, instead of using a lot of time explaining what you should already know, she just assumes you remember and gets down to business. Off course, reading the books in the wrong order will be very confusing, but what would you expect in a 7 book series that is very chronological.
The mood is a bit darker in this one, and hormones are starting to affect Harry and his surroundings, and that's all I'll say about the actual content. Read it! :)
